There are three houses and seven terrace studios set in three acres of grounds scattered down a hillside on four levels. Each of the houses and studios has a south-facing private terrace with breathtaking views over the valley to the sea, and of Galilea, considered one of the prettiest villages on Mallorca. Each accommodation in Galilea is uniquely decorated, distinct from any of the others, though the common theme is rustic sophistication, with bright floral fabrics and comfortable furniture complementing the beamed ceilings and vernacular tiles chosen by Pedro Otzoup, the architect, one of whose more recent commissions was Claudia Schiffer's house on the island. Most of the studios have fireplaces, all have individual south-facing terraces with views to the sea in the distance, and aromatic flowers and plants are abundant. Pretty prints hang on the walls and the smaller decorations are eclectic, but apt and individual. There is a satellite-connected TV set, a radio, and kitchen facilities to offer whatever degree of self-catering our guests wish to pursue. The emphasis is firmly on comfort and convenience.
